Say, someone has the North node in Gemini which means they need to embrace communication, use their mind and apply everyday thoughts and exchanges to the bigger picture as say, it’s in the 9 the house (ruled by Jupiter). It may be being transited by Jupiter at the moment which emphasizes and expands that (Jupiter = expansion). Incidentally Jupiter literally expands whatever it touches, but one needs to be careful as this expansion can be excessive and lead to things like exaggeration, over enthusiasm, baseless optimism – all the excesses you can think of! But usually, it is a beneficial energy to work with. This also depends, of course, on what aspects Jupiter has natally. All these aspects need to be taken into account.
Another point, is that the South Node, directly opposite – so, for example in a North node Gemini axis (which incorporates the South Node in Sagittarius) in the past, or even in previous lifetimes, you may have been adventurous, philosophical and all the other attributes of the Sagittarian but in this lifetime and on a more mundane level, you need to communicate that in language, writing or various other forms of communication, moving forward with a Gemini North Node. It’s easy to fall back on what feels familiar
(the South Node) but then we don’t really develop do we?
