Credit/Debit cards - How we charge

ABOUT AUTHORISATIONS

Pendragon uses authorisations as a deposit prior to the commencement of your reading.
Typically $70-$100.

You’ll be charged only for the minutes used for your reading.

DO YOU HAVE AN EXTRA CHARGE ON YOUR BANK ACCOUNT?
Don't worry, we have removed the authorization hold that’s triggered
when you request a reading. The adjustment could take a few minutes or up
to a few days to impact your account—it depends on your card issuer.

WHAT IS AN AUTHORIZATION HOLD?
When you request a reading, Pendragon may apply a temporary hold on your card in
advance of your call with a reader, estimated to the value of the proposed reading
until the transaction has been finalized. You’ll see it as a pending
amount on the account of your payment method used for that reading. This is
a common practice to confirm that your payment method has sufficient
funds.

When you cancel a reading, the authorization hold will be canceled
immediately.

When the reading is completed, this authorization hold is converted to a
charge to your payment method in the amount of your final transaction
amount.

* If the total transaction amount is less than the authorization
amount, only the actual transaction amount for the reading will be charged
and the authorization hold will be voided.

* Conversely, if the final amount is higher, we may override the
original authorization hold and charge the final amount, or charge the
remaining amount in addition to the original authorisation.

If you need to know more about the authorization hold policy, we
recommend you contact your card issuer.
